CAMERAS

I started taking photos in high school. My best friend was into photography and we used to go out on shoots where he'd teach me the basics. As such, I bought the same camera as his: a Minolta X-370, which was always loaded with Tri-X Pan black and white film and each lens equipped with a red filter. This was my camera for around fifteen years. Photos from Two Guns were taken with this camera.

Around 2001 I decided to get an automatic camera that I could also control manually. I decided on a Sigma SA7 as it could handle light and shadow very well. This camera was also almost always loaded with black and white film. Photos from Texas, Loma Linda, and Redlands were taken with this camera.

Before heading to Tibet, I thought it would be a good idea to go digital, so I picked up a Fuji FinePix S9000. The intent was for this to be a transitional camera—it would get me used to digital before moving up to a digital SLR—but I so love this camera that I can't imagine replacing it any time soon. All of the other photos on this site were taken using this camera.
