ABOUT

I have spent most of my life in academia. After completing my Master's, I started teaching, first adjunct and now full-time, and then I decided to go back for my doctorate. I now serve as the head of my department, though I contemplate stepping down on a weekly basis.

Besides teaching and traveling, I have published two collections of poetry, In a Strange Land and Pagan Blues, with two more in the works. Songs I have written have appeared on a few albums over the years, though, for the sake of humanity, I have alwys let other people sing.

Little known facts: I once worked as a still photographer for a made-for-TV monster movie, I would like to set foot on all seven continents before I'm forty, and I always travel with a copy of Herodotus' Histories and a travel amulet blessed in Tibet.
