EPILOGUE

This has been a trip of memories for me . . .

The last time I photographed ruins in Arizona was during my last family vacation. My parents and I drove to Florida to visit relatives and the town where my mom was born. We took Interstate 40 out. Along the way we came across the town of Two Guns. I was still shooting with a manual 35mm camera at the time and John and I developed the film ourselves upon my return.

The last time I photographed in a botanical garden was on my mom's birthday a year after she was diagnosed with cancer. I was hoping the Japanese and Zen gardens would bring some tranquility to a turbulent time. This was also the first time I tried out the digital camera I currently use.

The last time I headed east on Interstate 10 for any distance was when I was driving out to spend a summer with a girl in Texas who had stolen my heart. She'd later give it back.
