BACK IN PORT

Our flight back to Lima doesn't leave till the afternoon, so the Crazy Californians decided to spend part of their last morning in Puno ascending Kuntur Wasi (Condor Hill). We're already at 12,500 feet, so what's another 600 to 700 feet? And there's got to be a view of Puno that makes it more interesting than the one at street level. While I have to pause a few times to catch my breath, the view is worth it. I also decide to climb up to the base of the condor itself so that I can take a few creative shots. After we head back into town where I take a last few photos of Puno, including a small indoor marketplace.

As expected, our flight is delayed, though always listed as being "on time." We make it back to Lima just in time to get to the hotel then head out to dinner. My roommate stays at the airport as his flight is later that night, so we're down to the final four. After reaching the hotel, we walk down to the shore and have a wonderful meal with an amazing ocean backdrop. I never do get any photos of the shore off of Miraflores, which I regret.
