NORTH BY AIR . . .
The day begins with an uneventful flight from Ontario to Seattle. I was last in Seattle just after graduating from high school, which is more years ago than I'd care to remember. Luggage claimed, it's then a taxi ride to Port 66,
where our ship, the Norwegian Star, is docked. The direct route is blocked
by a stopped train, so the driver takes us on a back route, which I
am always a fan of.
Just get settled on the ship, ready to finally get something more than
mini pretzels to eat, when the mandatory emergency evacuation drill
is called. I make it to my evacuation area and end up behind a very
pretty blonde with short shorts and tan legs, so I can't honestly say
I know what to do in the event of an emergency besides find her. The
drill complete, it's back to the room and then off to an early dinner.
Just as we leave port, I take a few photos
from the room's balcony.
As I'm sharing a cabin, I get to sleep on the couch. It won't be the
first couch I've ever slept on, and I'm sure it won't be the last one
either.
